Brand Review: East End Press

Celebrations without the plastic!

East End Press create handcrafted plastic free decorations, gifts, and homeware. They joined the Green Tulip family in Autumn 2023. We noticed there was a space in our product range for sustainable decorations and when East End Press moved to plastic free, we knew we had to stock them!

East End Press was created from founder Ellie Hodesdon’s passion for traditional folk art designs and screen printing. What makes East End Press truly unique is Ellie's use of age-old techniques, adding a touch of timeless charm to every creation. Read more about Ellie’s journey in East End Press' brand story.

We adore the vibrant colours that East End Press uses – they have the power to brighten any corner of a room! A favourite of ours is their garlands and with many versatile designs, these aren't just for Christmas. Hang them in various spaces – over a fireplace, along a staircase, or even draped across a wall, infusing your home with a year-round sense of celebration.

More tips for sustainable decorations

  • Invest in reusable decorations (like East End Press) that are made from sustainable materials such as wood, paper, or fabric, that can then be used year after year.
  • Get crafty and make your own decorations using recycled materials.
  • Incorporate indoor plants or fresh flowers.
  • Use old jars, bottles, or tin cans as vases or storage.
  • Use natural elements like leaves, branches and pinecones for table centrepieces.
  • Choose cloth napkins and tablecloths instead of disposable alternatives.
