Solid Shower Gel - Pepper Mint

This block of solid shower gel is designed to reduce plastic waste from the millions of discarded shower gel bottles going to landfill and our oceans every year. As well as helping to reduce plastic waste, there is no fiddly plastic cap or flip top lid to negotiate, or endless squeezing to get the last amount out of the bottle!

The block is made from a blend of six nourishing plant based oils and is cleverly formulated as a shower gel in solid form. It lathers up quickly with water and feels just like a shower gel on the skin, creating a flurry of bubbles and a creamy lather for a fast, fuss-free shower. Skin is left feeling fresh and nourished without that drying, squeaky feeling that can often be experienced when using some traditional soap bars. Simply lather up in the hands or a sponge, apply to wet skin, wash, rinse and allow the block to dry. It should last around a month with daily use.

Handmade in the UK using 96% naturally derived ingredients. Contains RSPO certified sustainable palm oil (the status of suppliers’ certifications are checked regularly) and a small amount of fragrance oil and colouring. SLS and paraben free. Comes in a recyclable card box.

The palm oil used in this product is RSPO certified (Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil). The RSPO has a production standard that ensures the best practices for the manufacture, sourcing and distribution of palm oil globally. The outcome of this standard is the creation of numerous sustainable palm tree farms, creating a circular economy in those areas. There is no deforestation associated with RSPO certified farming operations with many of those operations doing further work to develop and give back to the communities in which they operate.

Palm oil is also extremely efficient on land. Compared to olive oil, palm oil yields 5 x more oil per hectare. In soap making, coconut is probably the closest, and yields only half what palm does. This isn’t a close race with a small margin of victory. The result of a high yield operation is one that contributes positively to sustainability, also logically leads to a far more effective cost price.
