What is a period cup?

Unlike mainstream tampons, pads and liners which absorb menstrual fluid, a period cup (or menstrual cup) collects it. Our super soft nüdie period cup is easy to insert and can collect menstrual fluid for up to 12 hours (making it a great option for heavy periods), allowing you to go about your day without frequent period product changes. The nüdie period cup is available in three different sizes depending on the size of your cervix.

What makes the nüdie different from other period cups?

Unlike most cups on the market which are off the shelf, our nüdie cup was custom-designed using 3D printing technology exclusively for &SISTERS, by our co-founder Claire and a leading female architect following 18 months in development. Made from medical-grade silicone with a silky smooth finish for extra comfort, the nüdie features an easy-to-hold Pebble™ pull for hassle-free removal and Tri-Flow™ air release holes to help with suction, keeping the cup securely in place so you can feel fresh and protected, day or night.

Why is organic cotton a healthier choice?

Organic cotton is naturally soft, pH-neutral, breathable and absorbent. Unlike most commercially grown cotton, our 100% organic cotton is grown without the use of fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides.

Having experienced, first-hand, the shame and hardship that comes with lack of access to safe period products, co-founders Lucy and Claire Lettice decided to take action. The daughter and mother duo created a new kind of conscious period product – one that was better for our bodies, better for our planet and better for our sisters.

The company is totally transparent about its products, ingredients and production processes. The pads, liners and tampons are made from 100% organic cotton, certified by Soil Association according to the Global Organic Textile Standards. The waterproof backing sheet on the pads is made from a cornstarch bio-polymer which is certified compostable. The Nudie period cup is made from hypoallergenic medical silicone.

As a certified B Corp &SISTERS is committed to reducing the environmental impact of period products. Based on the B Impact assessment, &SISTERS earned an overall score of 123.5 which is over double the median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment (currently 50.9).
