Our Natural Ingredients Collection reflects our desire to be authentic and stand by our values. It also reflects our value to have respect for others, for people, animals and our environment and to preserve, protect and grow sustainably.

Natural skincare and hair care products don't contain synthetic ingredients like parabens, sulphates, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances. They contain botanical (plant based) substances or ingredients sourced from nature.

However, as the use of the term natural is not regulated in any way, skin & hair care manufacturers can and have been adding 'Natural' to products that simply contain 1% natural ingredients, so checking the ingredients rather than misleading labelling is the only way to tell.

Our Natural Ingredients Collection only includes products that are made from 100% natural and naturally derived ingredients

    FAQs about Natural Ingredients

Naturally derived ingredients, or ingredients of natural origin, are made of materials from nature. They may be derived from plants, i.e., roots, herbs, and flowers, or from minerals. Some of them are quite familiar, such as aloe vera. But others, such as benzyl alcohol, a natural preservative which is produced by several plants are less well known. Since the natural materials are further processed, we label them naturally “derived” ingredients or ingredients of “natural origin” . These ingredients retain more than half of their molecular structure or natural state after processing.

Look at the Ingredients. But, when you look at the ingredients, it’s a list of chemicals that you cannot decipher without a Chemistry degree!

All beauty, skin and hair care products in the UK must have clearly listed ingredients. These ingredients should be listed as their INCI or scientific name.

INCI stands for International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients, and it's a standardized system for naming ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products. So for instance Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice is the INCI name for aloe vera leaf gel. This is why you see so many scientific looking names on a product, even products that are 100% natural.

We label our ingredients like this: Olea Europaea (Extra Virgin Olive) Oil, so you can translate them into English and understand exactly what the ingredient is.
