Why we love it
White faced Dartmoor sheep are one of Britain's most ancient breeds - sadly now classified as at risk. Dartmoor National Park farmers breed and tend the sheep to preserve them, and have very small flocks.
The sheep are sheared in the spring and the wool is taken to Yorkshire where it is washed using modern effluent treatments that ensures no harmful chemicals are released into the environment. Any waste material is converted into slug pellets and slow release fertiliser. When dry, the wool is ready for spinning which is done on traditional Victorian machines that have been adapted for electricity and need no mineral oil or lubricants to run. The spun yarn is then coloured using low impact synthetic dyes that don't contain any toxic substances or heavy metals, meaning the dye and rinse water can be recycled and used again. The yarn is then woven and packaged in a recyclable card sleeve.

We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but currently only offer delivery within mainland UK. Due to GPSR customs regulations, we are unable to ship to Northern Ireland at this time.

We offer the following delivery options. In all cases you will be provided with a tracking number. Orders received by 10am weekdays will be sent out the same day.
1: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 48 - £3.50 (FREE for orders over £50)
This is our standard delivery option. Usually delivered within two to three working days.
2: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 24 - £5.00 (Only £1.50 for orders over £50)
A faster service, usually delivered the next working day.
3: DHL EXPRESS - £8.50
Delivery by DHL courier using their express service which usually delivers next day (Monday-Friday only). Order by 11am weekdays for same day dispatch.
We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but only offer delivery within mainland UK (excluding Jersey & Guernsey due to required customs documentation and Northern Ireland due to GPSR Customs Regulations).
