Felt so good - Green Tulip

FELT SO GOOD

The idea for Felt so good came in 2009 when founder Adele Zara Collinson was working in Asia and came upon the vibrancy and potential of using felt as a sustainable, eco friendly material. Even though she was loving life as a holiday rep for TUI, her passion for starting a creative business was calling, so she drew upon her design degree knowledge and decided the time was right to bring beautiful handmade felt products to the UK.

The story behind Felt so good

BROUGHT TO LIFE IN NEPAL

For weeks Adele visited factories large and small throughout India to ensure that the producer and the location of her designs would be safe, ethical and had a minimal carbon footprint. Finally she found the perfect relationship with a small cottage industry in Nepal creating hand crafted products from wool felt. On returning to the UK Adele started selling the felt designs at weekend craft markets and travelled all over Britain from Inverness to Penzance selling to shops - Felt so good was born.

FAIR TRADE WORK

From those early days the Brand has built up a design collection that's different to anything else on the market, with the underlying ethos of ethically made high quality sustainable products that showcase the techniques and skills of the craftspeople.

Adele visits her team of over 250 ladies in Kathmandu three times a year to ensure that the high standards of working conditions and employment are maintained, whilst cementing a strong working relationship and strong friendships too.

Why I Love Felt so good

We've sold cute felt animals for years, and wanted to expand the range into other felt gifts so I was pleased to track down Felt so good. Full of fun and colour, their products are both a great value little gift, and a truly fairly traded product you can feel proud about buying and giving.
