Facial Cellulose Sponge
This highly absorbent sponge is made from cellulose, a great sustainable alternative to single use cotton wool pads or wipes. It's soft, durable, and will create a lovely lather for gentle cleansing as well as being kind to the planet at the same time. 7.5cm x 1cm.

Cellulose is a renewable natural resource made from wood pulp. With proper care, a cellulose sponge can last indefinitely. Under normal day-to-day domestic usage, it can typically last for around six months. To make it last, rinse it thoroughly after each use and allow it to air dry completely.
Since this sponge is made of natural materials, it's more prone to absorbing bacteria so it is important to disinfect regularly. It can be soaked in vinegar for five minutes, rinsed and left to dry or it can be put in the washing machine or dishwasher at a hot temperature. Once it starts to smell or break down, it should be replaced.
Cellulose sponges can be home composted. To speed up decomposition, cut the sponge into small pieces before adding it to your compost pile. If you don’t compost, don't worry, you can put them in your usual household waste.
This sponge is completely plastic free, and comes unpackaged.
