Hand crafted in Dorset from Chococo's signature 72% single origin dark chocolate. It's made exclusively for the brand by its direct trade partners Martinetti Cocoa, a small family-owned chocolate company based in Quevedo in the heart of the cocoa-growing region of Ecuador. It has been in business for 50 years and has strong relationships with local cocoa farmers, buying beans direct from their farms. This 72% chocolate is made with beans bought from just one farm - Hacienda Zoilita which is a professionally run family farm of 200 hectares.
Currently, Chococo works with chocolate made with fine beans grown in Colombia, Ecuador, Madagascar, Venezuela, Tanzania and Uganda. These fine origin chocolates are known as Raisetrade chocolates because they are produced in their country of origin from tree to chocolate which thereby adds more value to the local economy than exporting dried beans.
Ingredients: (93.3%) Ecuador origin dark chocolate: (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin), (6.7%) diced crystallised ginger (ginger, sugar). 72% (min) cocoa solids. Made in an environment that handles dairy, gluten, nuts and soya so may contain traces.
