Beco Pets

BECO PETS

The idea for Beco Pets came in 2009 by dog-loving co-founders George Bramble and Toby Massey. They acknowledged that giving their dogs the life they deserve (plus a little extra) had an impact on the environment that needed to be challenged, so they set on a mission to create the best possible pet products whilst doing as little harm to the planet as possible. They sourced pet food bowls made using bamboo offcuts from a Chinese chopstick factory, and Beco was born!

The story behind Beco Pets

AWARDS AND REWARDS!

By 2011 Beco had won Best Start Up company at the HSBC awards and moved to new offices the following year. The old place was getting a bit tight for space with the expanding team and all their dogs! Beco had also just arrived in European shops, so it was the perfect time for the team to celebrate!

B-CORP PROUD

From there came natural rubber dog toys followed by chewing ropes made from hemp, an incredibly tough antibacterial and sustainable material great for cleaning canine teeth. By 2015 Beco were producing toys made from recycled plastic bottles, saving 15 bottles per toy from entering landfill sites and oceans. It didn't stop there, with official B-Corp status awarded in 2022, allowing Beco to credibly reflect its social and environmental commitments, alongside being hugely proud to achieve the most demanding ethical and eco-responsible certification worldwide.

Well we think that's an impressive journey! 💚💚

    Why I Love Beco Pets

We do like to support brands that are new and just getting started, but as well as that we like to sell brands that have been doing what they do for a long time, and have continually improved their range. Beco Pets is one of those brands - one of the first eco pet brands, and still a leader today. They definitely deserve a place in our pet assortment.
