The story behind BAGGU
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION

BAGGU
Young graduate Emily Sugihara launched BAGGU alongside her mother Joan, back in 2007 at the age of 24. The idea to create a reusable shopping bag that was cute and more than just your standard cotton tote started as a simple sewing project for the duo, but it soon became a mission to make well-designed bags that would fill many needs, be as affordable as possible and produced in a way that’s mindful of the environment.
The duo started with one simple product: a reusable, recycled nylon shoulder bag that folds away into its 12cm square pouch - easy for shoppers to bring along on their day-to-day lifestyles. Purposely designed to minimise material waste, the standard BAGGU is produced from one continuous piece of recycled nylon and the cut-out portion is used to make the carrying pouch; saving material that would otherwise be sent to landfill.
Since those early days in Emily's San Diego living room making bags with her mum and old school friend Ellen, the Brand has grown into huge international success story with five retail shops in the US and an extensive distibution network worldwide. Today BAGGU produces an extensive assortment of environmentally conscious bags plus other accessories in cool, modern designs and has taken on numerous collaborations with well-established designers and multi-million dollar corporations.

Baggu offers an ideal mix of sustainable materials, great quality, and really 'cool' designs (said like an old person!). They definitely add a modern twist to our range, and have a great following so we're really very happy to have been approved to be a stockist.

The coasters are excellent quality, a really lovely design, and really reasonably priced. They were shipped and delivered quickly and just an all 'round positive experience and purchase.
I can't comment on the actual products I ordered because they were all gifts, but the packaging is good and everything attractive. The order came quickly. There is such a huge choice on the website I will certainly be using it again.
Always loved these bags and now have found one which is kind to the earth and looks so cheery and can be taken anywhere with all the goodies or everyday essentials if you're not using for groceries etc.
