This vintage sketch notebook features an original cover from an old, unwanted book that has been rescued from a library requiring space for new books. The inner works are removed by hand and refilled with unlined sketch paper from sustainably managed forests, giving new life to an old book.
Why we love it
Every notebook sketchbook is a true 'one-off'. Old unwanted books are donated by libraries, second hand book shops, and publishing companies and About Blanks remove the old inner works and refill the hardback cover with sustainable blank sketch paper. The blank paper has a light cream shade and the texture makes it perfect for sketching and making notes. Because the old covers are reused, each About: Blanks sketch notebook is different and therefore unique and one of a kind.
Hand made in The Netherlands at a social employment facility, where people with a disability or poor job prospects can get a job, and through this participate in society. The brand's main aim is to make products that stimulate personal stories and development for users, and also for its co-workers.
Measures approximately 13cm wide x 19cm long.
Materials: Original vintage hardback book cover with FSC approved paper pages.
We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but currently only offer delivery within mainland UK. Due to GPSR customs regulations, we are unable to ship to Northern Ireland at this time.

We offer the following delivery options. In all cases you will be provided with a tracking number. Orders received by 10am weekdays will be sent out the same day.
1: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 48 - £3.50 (FREE for orders over £50)
This is our standard delivery option. Usually delivered within two to three working days.
2: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 24 - £5.00 (Only £1.50 for orders over £50)
A faster service, usually delivered the next working day.
3: DHL EXPRESS - £8.50
Delivery by DHL courier using their express service which usually delivers next day (Monday-Friday only). Order by 11am weekdays for same day dispatch.
We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but only offer delivery within mainland UK (excluding Jersey & Guernsey due to required customs documentation and Northern Ireland due to GPSR Customs Regulations).

I bought my friend’s secret Santa gift from here and everything was perfect - the package was ordered and arrived within the stated time, the packaging was eco friendly and the products were just fantastic. I love that this company is doing something ethical, quietly and without a fuss but that it does it to the absolute best of its ability and exactly what you’d expect.
