Bento Power - Lunch Box Recipe Book

Preparing homemade food & snacks for all the family & transporting them to work or school in a reusable lunchbox is a great way of working towards a zero waste 'on-the-go' balanced lunch. Bento Power is not only a cook book full of brilliantly balanced lunchbox recipes, it is also self help book containing useful tips and information about different food groups and their nutritional values, and how different foods can benefit our bodies, minds and moods.

Bento, influenced by Japanese culture, means a pre-prepared portion of food neatly packed into one container to take out and about either to work or school.

The bento in this book is based on the Japanese original: rice (grains) plus a number of small side dishes packed in a bento box, but with a slight twist using more raw and whole elements than typical bento. These recipes are beautifully illustrated, quicker to make with less side dishes, and are primarily plant based - there are 8 egg recipes in the book, the rest are vegan.
